Objective:
To equip unemployed South African youth with practical skills in renewable energy, enhancing their employability in the green energy sector.
Methodology:
In partnership with Msunduzi Skills Centre, TEDSF delivered an accredited occupational skills program. The curriculum encompassed both theoretical knowledge and hands-on training, ensuring participants gained comprehensive expertise in renewable energy technologies.
Impact:
Training: 50 unemployed youths successfully completed the program, receiving certification as Renewable Energy Workshop Assistants.
Employment: Post-training, 20 participants secured positions with Premlo Energy Solutions as commission-based solar panel sales representatives.
Further Education: An additional 5 graduates pursued advanced qualifications in solar installation, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning.

The initiative was valued at R6,000,000, reflecting a significant investment in youth development and the renewable energy sector.
