Objective:
To bridge the digital skills gap among unemployed youth in Gauteng townships, enhancing their employability in the digital economy.
Methodology:
TEDSF collaborated with Google South Africa to conduct an intensive 6-day advanced digital marketing workshop in Johannesburg. The program focused on key areas such as search engine optimization (SEO), social media marketing, and data analytics.
Impact:
Participation: 150 unemployed youths were recruited, with 100 completing the Google-certified course.
Employment: Following the workshop, a recruitment drive resulted in 15 participants securing immediate employment in digital marketing roles.
Career Advancement: An additional 5 participants experienced significant career progression, leveraging their new skills to access better opportunities.
