From equation 2, x=2y+3

                          (2y+3)y = 9

                           2y^2 + 3y - 9 = 0

                      (2y-3)(y+3)=0

                       y= 3/2  or  y= -3

              hence, x= 2(3/2) + 3 = 6  or x=2(-3) + 3 = -3  , (6 ; 3/2) and (-3 ; -3)
